THE BEGINNING

In one winternight at Leppävirta in February 2006 gave Mom-Jamie birth to a litter that has been waited with so much eagerness; 6 girls and 1 boy were born. Jamie and the breeder Mirva taking good care of the newborns they grew fast, got stronger and learned something new every day; they experienced even exciting things. Every sound and smell of that home, every loving touch and caress and those first good smells of spring outside were written down to their memories to last forever. Jamie-mommy had quite a hard work taking care of these little children  when they got into full speed! :-)

One of these little puppies was "Miss Darkgreen". She spent her days playing and running with her siblings untill the middle of April. One after the other her sisters and brother left the warmth of the home and travelled to new homes with their new owners. The people who had received this little girl had changed their plans, so she was able to stay with her mother and wait all these things what the future would bring to her.  But this Miss Darkgreen was not worried at all; the spring was filled with many exciting new smells and the big world was open for her!

The snow melt and the grass began to turn green. The puppy grew so fast and enjoyed the company of Jamie-mother and Cosma-aunt. Mirva was searching for a new home for her, and that was the point when we heard about this gorgeous little girl for the first time. After those few phonecalls and "a discussion of principle" at home we set out on a journey heading to Puponmäki. Our great plan was to bring the puppy home at the same day if only she would prove to be brisk and brave, and if Mirva still would be able to give her away!

Departure

And I have to say that it was really a love at first sight! This little puppygirl ran streight to my arms and to my heart. She was so brave, open and self-confident, that even our little wild boys couldn't confuse her. And very soon it was all clear for me; this puppy was just ment to be ours!

So it was the time when mother-Jamie, aunt-Cosma, Mirva and Pauli had to say goodbye and sent the last child of Jamie into the big world. And so this puppygirl moved into our house at the age of almost three months. She was all joy of life, sharp teeth, lots of wet kisses and so MUCH ENERGY! And we decided to call her Nelli.
