NELLI AND THE FAMILY

Our family lives in the middle of Finland in Jyväskylä. Nelli's family consists of her mistress, master and three boys aged 5, 9 and 10 years. Nelli and her "human brothers" constitute a quite vivacious gang, and Nelli always wants to be present at the place where something funny happens.
When I was a young girl I spent my time at stables, and beside of horses also cats belonged to my youth. Nelli is my second own dog; before her I had a german shepherd female called Danja (Sol'rein Danja). I work with animals and I spend my spare time not only in dog-activities but also driving my boys to ice-hockey trainings in winter and football trainings in summertime. :-)
During a couple of years I've been able to get to know the breed white swiss shepherd not only with Nelli and other "white friends" of mine but also by beeing present at the White Shepherd Association of Finland. I was a vice-member of the board of that association in 2007 and I have been a actual member since 2008. From the beginning of 2009 I have also been the vice-chairman of this assiciation. I have accomplished the breeder's basic course in January 2008 and the breeding advicer's basic course in April 2009 and the advanced course in April 2010. I have undersigned the breeding commitment of the Finnish Kennelclub and the White Shepherd Association of Finland and the breeder name Gentle Miracle's is granted for me in July 2009.

So what about Nelli then? :-)
Nelli is open, playful and very lively young girl. She wants to participate in almost everything and she never runs out of energy. In "the doggieworld" Nelli thinks she is a queen without a questions and she behaves herself rather dominantly especially towards other females.
All kinds of chasing and catching plays are Nelli's favourites and especially playing football with the boys is fun. Sometimes we have to exclude her from the game because she gets too excited... there are so many poor balls that Nelli has "killed" and teared in pieces in the end! ;-) Even if Nelli has that never-ending energy, she can relax and take it easy when required.

I have trained some obedience with Nelli, but mainly because of my poor lust for compete we haven't taken part in any competitions. Nelli has quite much drive for chasing and hunting, and I've tried to take advantage of that property when we train together. And maybe some day we will debyte in a competition too... ;-)
We have been in dog shows with Nelli a few times every year and in the summer 2008 she achieved the tittle Finnish Champion after recieving enough certs in shows and passing the character test. In February 2010 she got the tittle Estonian Champion too.
